#420 Use It Or Lose It - Messiah's Handbook

Perspective
Use it or Lose it.

If you turned to this page, you're forgetting that what is going on around you is not reality.

Think about that.

OK, I'm thinking. As I was about to write something here, I received an IM from a young, dear friend in Lille, France. We are going to be visiting him and his family later this summer. We can hardly wait.

A comment he made was a reminder that he was visiting us here 10 years ago. It was a time when he was wooing his wife-to-be. She is the eldest daughter of our French friends. She was also living with us for a period while completing a college/job practicum we were able to arrange for her. Needless to say, they are part of our family. In the ten ensuing years they have added to their family-a girl and a boy. We have seen the daughter. This year we will meet the son.

He also mentioned that his business/work is being involved with the hazards of global warming. I look forward to discussing this with him when we meet.

So what is the perspective here? What is the reality? From my perspective reality is personal. We receive sensory data and then have to make something of it. In this instance the reality of this relationship is wonderful. They are a part of our family. While we recognize that a part of that reality is a slight language barrier, it does not interfere with the friendship.

We are obligated to seek the meaning of our lives. Or not. Give the idea some thought.

For some, it takes a lifetime to find that meaning.
