Saturday, July 7, Jerry took me on a tour of two of the three courses at Elkins Lake, a golfing community just South of Huntsville, Texas. As you can see, it is a very beautiful course. When we finally got to play on Sunday it was still soggy in places. The humidity was extremely high and the temperature must have been on the high side of 90. I played my usual less than sterling game, but it was fun. I didn't get too much of a sun burn either.
Did you see the deer near the end of the slide show? Did you detect the fawns? (To see the photos in a larger format and not changing too rapidly, just click on the View All Images button.) They run wild throughout the community. You can tell because the deer just love certain plants, like roses. They are quite brazen. They will even come up onto the porch if there is a potted plant they find very palatable.

ha! im surprised the course wasnt under water! really like the embedded slide shows. travel safely
What is really interesting, they have a couple of lakes and several collecting ponds for rain run off. Even with that, the course was still soggy.
It's great to be home again.
We did have a great time. They are so much fun to be with.
Great way to display a series of photos Jack, the course looks great, I no longer like hilly layouts.
