#189 Trip to Huntsville, TX

The trip to Huntsville was one of the best trips we have taken to see friends. We have known Jerry and Shirley for more than 40 years. The trip was taken at time when there had been almost 40 days and nights of rain during central Oklahoma and Texas and Southwest Kansas. We did have some rain on the trip down as you will see in the slide show. There were a number of frontage roads that were blocked off due to high water.

There was plenty of laughter and lots of reminiscing. We were also planning for another trip in September. (bird, this comment was especially for you. tee hee) Then we will be going to Las Vegas for the Retired Military Police Officers' 32nd annual reunion. During that time we will also celebrate the 40th reunion of Jerry and my career course class, MPOC-7. Our wives decided we would do this when we attended an RMPO reunion about three years ago. There will probably be some photos from that, but that is a few months away.

In the meantime I will endeavor to have other postings.
