# 191 Some of the Sights Around Huntsville
Just a few of the sights in and around Huntsville, Texas. Saturday was too wet to golf, but just right for sight seeing. (To see the photos better, just click on them. You will be able to read some of the signs that way.)
Graveyard for deceased prisoners. Many of the next of kin would not claim the body. The state provided the "Potter's Field".
One of the contractors in Huntsville decided to build low income housing literally from "odds and ends". He will use just about anything that he can. Needless to say, the designs are unique. He has been featured in some national magazines.

Just South of town, on the East side of I-45 you can visit this statue honoring Sam Houston. Part of the instructions to get to our friend's home included the statue as a reference, "If you pass the statue of Sam Houston, you have gone too far. Exit at the next ramp.
Don't you just love serendipitous events. When I took this photo I knew that a vehicle had passed, I just didn't realize I was capturing a "crime in progress" (Giggle)
