#518 The Trip to State College, PA.

These photos were taken on our recent trip back East. You have already seen some of the photos I took while in Augusta, GA. The five photos below were taken as we traveled to State College. We spent the night there so that Maryann could visit the main Penn State campus. It was a great trip.

The next two photos show the statue of the Nittany Lion, the mascot of Penn State.

Here are some photos of important sites on the campus.

One of the most important place for Maryann to visit was the athletic museum and Beaver Stadium. It is the third largest athletic stadium in the world. It is quite a sight to see. Its capacity is larger than the population of Allentown, PA. The museum was fantastic. Upstairs was devoted to the inside athletics and the outside athletics were downstairs. In the entryway was the statue of the Nittany Lion. On the outside of the stadium is the statue of Joe Paterno and on the wall near the statue are the words of Joe. Good words, I think.
