in the middle of the night (2:15 AM) when you awaken to the sounds of the water system back flushing? I knew it was going to happen. It doesn't happen often, but after the service man was out and changed a filter, he said it was set to back flush this AM. He was right, it did. OK, so now what? A trip to relieve oneself is in order.
Don't talk to your spouse. Oops, too late.
Don't think about a video conversation with your son-in-law concerning home loan lending practices in California. Oops, too late.
Don't come up with some answers to some puzzling questions resulting from the aforementioned video conversation. Oops, too late.
Don't write and send an email outlining the answers to those puzzling questions. Oops, too late.
And for goodness sakes, don't write a post about it. Oops, too late.
It's time to go back to bed. Oops, too late, the sprinkler system just turned on. Well, at least the grass will continue to be green.
I wonder if I can get back to sleep now. Hmmm.

okay, I give up, what does that mean? Are the flushing ghosts prowling 'round during the night?

...or is that like when our water softener cycles during the night and you can't flush toilets (real fun at times).
a great solution is to put the lid down and close bathroom door but please try to remember when you get back up in middle of night to use such facility again or you might be in for a rude awakening!
