sensational gardens/photos Jack, are the deer in the last photo clipped hedge plants or stone? I couldn't tell.

The deer are hedge plants as near as I could tell. We were looking down from a raised path. We were about 50-75 metres away and I had to use a telephoto lens to get the shot. The lighting wasn't all that good either.
how close were you able to get to the deerz before they ran/pranced/galloped off into the wilderness?

B, our travels are safe. We did get slowed down in South Seattle by a rather bad one-car wreck. It slowed down traffic quite a bit. The vehicle hit the concrete median. Don't know what caused it or if there was more than one vehicle involved.
Other than that, the trip was quite uneventful.
It rained most of the way/day.
It was great to hear your voice. We will be in touch.
