It is almost surreal, thinking back on the last six days. Two days on the road either direction. Two days filled with activities that dealt with Margaret's passing and kept us from dwelling on the sadness of it all. There were tears and laughter. Laughter and tears. I shed mine with pride.
Upon our return we discovered that the local weekly which is delivered on Thursday morning already had Margaret's obituary published. We are totally amazed at the efficiency and effectiveness of the funeral director. He received the information late Wednesday afternoon and it was in the paper the next morning.
Tonight we look forward to a peaceful night's sleep. Tomorrow it's laundry time, grocery shopping time and time for me to pack for the next trip. I fly to El Paso to visit my mother and brother on Wednesday.
So, dear friends, I will post this and think seriously about resting.
Hazel was glad to have us return.
