Maryann and I decided it would be interesting and relaxing to go to the North Shore of Oahu to watch the surfing. We don't surf ourselves, but it is an exciting activity to watch. The following photos show the surf, surfers and on-lookers at Sunset Beach.
The surfers were getting ready for the championships to be conducted on the following weekend. (It was only last weekend. My how time does fly.)

ah... i 've been fantasizing about ditching christmas in the bay area and running away to hawaii for my winter break.
it warms my heart to know you and yours were so enjoying hawaii just recently.
