and I am awake. What is going on?
It's one thing to awaken due to a call of nature. At my age that can be almost every night. Tonight it was different. I can't get back to sleep.
What better diversion than to check my email. Nothing too new there. Got a nice reminder that our reservation at the Inn at Venice Beach for the coming weekend is still in effect and they are excited about our arrival.
It will be a special weekend. Our oldest daughter married last month. It was an announced elopement. The reception will be this coming weekend. We are looking forward to meeting in-laws for the first time.
Perhaps that has contributed to the insomnia I feel at the moment.
I think it may be time to go back to bed. Perhaps the sleep dragons await me there. I think I felt the little blighters looking for an eyelid upon which to perch.

I'm getting really excited too. I haven't gotten my email from the hotel yet. Now I'm freaked out and thinking I need to call them...unless I blocked them from sending me stuff.
See you this weekend, Dad!!!!!!! Yeah, Thursday night I won't be able to sleep. Combination that Josie is going off to camp at my teacher's house and we leave the next morning...
