#787 Day Nine - Sights Near Heidelberg-Part-1

On October 14 we visited some of the places that George and Gale had visited when they were stationed in the area. We were able to stay at the US installation at Patrick Henry Village. The accommodations were quite nice and the laundry facilities were free.  Free is good.

One of the first places we visited was the little town of Dilsberg. One of the interesting things about the town are the Roman ruins.

More of Dilsberg

We had lunch at the Chocolaterie. It was the first time I had tasted pumpkin soup and it was outstanding. As for the little red car, it is self-explanatory.

Sandee, the pumpkin soup was outstanding.

Shannon, I knew you would like the cats. Your mother got them to look in the same direction at the same time.
