#783 Day Five - Vienna - Part 2

One of the most interesting and unusual sight is the Ankeruhr clockEvery day at noon, all figures parade accompanied by music from the various eras. This tourist spectacle is a special kind of Viennese High Noon. While we were there we got to see the "parade" of figures. I took a photo every 15 seconds until all of the figures had passed. Here are two tablets on the wall that describe the clock.

The following are the persons representing each of the twelve hours. You can find the name for each character on the hour tablet above.

St. Stephen's Cathedral was another beautiful sight. It is nestled among many buildings, old and modern.  It is being refurbished. When they are working on the exterior they place a "photo" over the part of the exterior that is being repaired.  We were able to see the cathedral from many view points as we walked around the city. It is interesting to see the reflection of the cathedral in the windows of a modern building.  Here are some of the views.

So much for this day's activities.

I would love to visit these two places as well. Love the clock. The cathedral is beautiful.

Have a terrific day. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. :)
