#713 On The Road to Glacier National Park

Day seven, May 29th. After a leisurely breakfast we headed out toward Glacier National Park. We were treated to a sight of Elk on the wide divider strip along the road out.  They will show up in the wildlife section.

In the meantime, we got a chance to see the huge gate at the North entrance to Yellowstone.  As usual there are a couple of photos of the landscape.

Our trip to Glacier National Park would take a day and a half. We made arrangements to spend the night at the Cougar Ranch Lodge just outside Missoula, MT. Majo knows one of the owners who is from France. She made the arrangements for the rooms. It is a very picturesque place. You may notice the tracks near the sign. The were active about three times during the night. We did rest comfortably. I discovered that Jean Louis just might be a pool "shark". He beat me fair and square. He did mention that sometimes guys will play poorly the first game and then suggest playing for money. We didn't have time to test his theory.

The breakfast was very good. Alan is a great cook. He also knows how to serve with integrity, care about those he serves and shares the love in his heart and soul. We did enjoy our brief stay.

And now for the obligatory wildlife photos. The elk were posing for us in the dividing strip. The prairie dogs were just out back at the Cougar Ranch Lodge.

Okay that does it. I'm planning a trip back to see this beautiful countryside once again. I just love that part of the world. In the summer of course.

Have a terrific day. :)
