#591 Early Saturday Morning-UPDATE #2

All is well here. The weather is getting warmer. Rain is due. Sorry to learn that the folks in Colorado got upwards of a foot of snow and that is the storm front moving our way.

We had to get a new refrigerator. The other one was getting old and had to be replaced prior to some really major disaster with it. It will take some time to get used to the new one. It is the French door kind with a freezer drawer at the bottom. We figure we will get used to it in a year or two. It is a black with a textured finish. The old one was over 18 years old. We had it since we built the house.

We ordered it on Wednesday and they delivered it on Friday. Not bad. It didn't take much time for it to get cold. Today we go grocery shopping. We usually do that on Thursday afternoons. We made the mistake of going on a Friday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. Big mistake. This morning we will see if the shelves are stocked again.

Then we will have the fun of rearranging the height of the shelves. Life is just full of fun challenges.

May your day be filled with peace, joy and love. ttfn

Hi Jack, I have to confess that I am one of those who only very briefly scaned through the looong comment of the anonomys person below. i just dobn't have the tiome to read all of it, in spite of it sounding interesting and true... sad that people are too scared to identify themselves... however i understand them! Nobody will believe the sacrifices I have made so far this life-time standing up for what I believe to be right and I definitely do understand that other people don't fancy going through the same things I went through. And it never ends. You can find greed and corruption everywhere (by the way, very good post you had on that one!!!)and there will always people who are willing to cover up at almost any cost and those are dangerous.

Anyway, re your health issue. have you read the "fit for life-books"? natural hygiene (the subject that the author studied, before he wrote the books) really did miracles for us!
arthritis, rheumatism etc. can usually be healed by getting the digestive system cleaned up and the body de-poisoned (de-tox) with a fruit-fast, followed by a very healthy diet, mainly consisting of raw veggis and fuits, nuts and that sort of thing. The question is: Who wants to do it?
I mean, it is actually a very enjoyable diet, when you're on it, but not many people fancy that sort of thing... but it works, i can say this much!

re the fridge: I agree with your daughter: It would be nice to see a picture!

And re shopping: well you should come shopping with me once. you'd get a shock of a lifetime, I can guarantee you that!!!

Thanks for your comments on my blog and I would love to read mor on you phylosophical blog, i just didn't get around to it. but i absolutely loved the story of getting something good out of everything bad. I've had lots of esperiences like that as well. hope, many people read that story!

Oh... and how went Easter?
what about the good news? Anything happened yet?
paris was great, but stressing.
So far I've got the Louvre-Paris-by-night thing up:

Yes, I think I'm going to need a new fridge soon. I like the freezer on top, saves too much bending.

As for grocery shopping (shudder). It's one chore I hate, however, one must eat...dammit!

Who knew replacing a fridge would lead to such an adventure? My dad still calls it an "ice box" to this day.

We've always had two. One goes in the garage for extra freezer space and liquids. It really comes in handy.

Hello Jack ~~ Congrats on the new fridge. It sounds nice and will look better when you and your wife have filled it up. The black sounds nice, Silver shows every mark/fingerprint.
Glad you enjoyed the jokes and I hope you had a nice visit with your friends. Take care, With very best wishes, Merle.
