#530 We did get home

The trip back was uneventful until we were airborne between Denver and KC. Apparently someone on board fainted. The medics met us at the airport. Don't know what happened. They did not have to take the person away on a stretcher.

There was one change to our travel plans. I was under the impression that we would not arrive home until late in the evening. Fortunately our plans were changed by the airline some time ago. When we looked at our confirmation printout it showed us arriving in KC around 1830. We touched down at 1835. Not bad. We were home around 2000. Ate a light snack, unpacked and hit the sack. It is always nice to sleep in your own bed regardless of how marvelous the accommodations.

Now to talk more about the visit. It was great. Our daughter greeted us. We went to find our bags and also meet my oldest daughter who flew in from Phoenix. She got in a bit earlier than expected. After I was able to recognize our bag we packed up and drove to Shannon's home. It didn't take long to get unpacked and settled in. Then for some wine, dinner and await the arrival of our oldest daughter and her husband. Great visit.

The plan was to have an early dinner and then have dessert with some friends later in the evening. They also brought three desserts. On Wednesday Maryann and Shannon prepared three of the desserts for Thanksgiving evening.

There were seven of us for dinner.

Of course the guys did the clean up. The fact that Shannon declared she was not on that detail did help us make the decision. It didn't take long to get that done. The gals played games, talked, drank more wine while the clean-up took place.

Three friends did arrive in the evening to spend time with us and help eat the scrumptious desserts. It was a wonderful time seeing old friends and sharing our bounty.

There are more slides coming. This should give you all an idea of the fantastic time we all had.

Glad you made it home ok, T-Day looks good, though the wimmen folk are supposed to clean up while the men fall asleep on the couch watching football...

The passenger probably fainted from having to pay for his glass of water and the excess baggage fee.
