#523 Christmas from a retiree...

This is one of those emails that is too funny to just dump. Thanks, Nancy.

Dear family and friends, Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for everyone as gifts. I hope you'll agree that it's a splendid idea and, should you wish to do the same for some of your Christmas gifts, I've included the instructions below:

You'll need four maxi pads for each pair of slippers. Lay two of them out flat. Wrap a single pad around the toe area of each flat pad to form the top of the slipper. Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part. Decorate the tops with whatever you desire: silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc.
Maxi slippers are:

Soft and Hygienic

Non-slip grip strips on the soles

Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh

No more bending over to mop up spills

Disposable and biodegradable

Environmentally safe

Three convenient sizes: Regular, Light and Get out the Sand Bags. I've included a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself. Let me know which size you'd like me to make for you.

So, will they get all floppy if your feet sweat?

*ducking boos and throwd tampon wrappers*

I don't know. I reckon I'll have to ask Nancy.

Keep your head down. snerx.

Uh ... hate to appear naive, but are these slippers only worn once a month?

Gosh, Hale, I don't know. I'll have to get back to you on that.

Good evasive tactics. That Skunkman can sure raise a stink. snerx. PUN INTENDED.

I am sending this to my uncle Jim and aunt Sandy. I will have to be careful though, she might make them for everyone.

This was too funny!

You may get quite a few comments from me. I am thinking that I didn't get the word verification right and so I try it again. Didn't realize that some of the comments are visible after blog owner approval.
