on mine and it is around 3 AM. Around 4 AM there is a small, rough tongue on my cheek. Yep, it's Hazel.
She usually spends the night in her own room. We would prefer not to have these nocturnal visits while we are sleeping. Apparently, she was hoping to get me to go sit on a chair in the den so that she could have lap to sleep on. She couldn't have been hungry because her dish was full, I think. I didn't get up nor encourage her.
Since we have been having some redecorating done, she has been allowed to have unlimited access to the house at night. At least for a couple of nights. The incident above was on one of those nights.
She is a delightful critter. I am convinced she is an angel cat that can aid in the healing process. She has been Maryann's constant companion, particularly during the times of recuperation.
Now that the decorating is almost complete, Hazel will be relegated to her quarters during the night.
With a little bit of luck we will have the house back in order by the weekend. There will photos posted once that is done.

Can't wait for photos!
Give Hazel an extra {hug} from me!!
Visited our daughter with her cat "Teddy". He is a most demanding and intelligent cat.
I don't like cats, but he is so manipulative I can't help but admire him.
He 'headbutts' you to make you pat him but if you pat him on his head he gets upset. Chest or tummy, not head!
He scratches at the door, retrieves balls, and cries if doors are closed.
So he will be coming home for Christmas.
So I have been swayed by one moggy. Will take each one as they come.
I love the smell of new paint!
