It has come time to write another essay for Things I've stumbled across along the way. It seems to me that for people to be respectful of others they must first respect themselves. It is a topic that comes to my mind frequently. I am convinced about this concept. However, I am having a problem in getting it to come together. It is difficult, at the moment, to come up with examples. I know they are everywhere. I just haven't gotten it clear yet.
So, I am making an unusual request. If you have any ideas, please let me know. You can make comments to this posting or send an email.

jack - tho i've not read all of your entries on the other site - i find that your words and "wisdom" (if that term can be allowed here, by no means associating age or anyone's potential yoda-like properties) have always carried through.
i'd love to hear more about your experiences growing up. learning your life's lessons, etc. nothing necessarily religious or political - it doesn't have to be...
it can be as simple as the first time you learned to trust... or NOT to potentially... stuff like that is what i think we all miss hearing about in our culture from our peers...
