It's late afternoon. The days chores are completed. Our suitcases are almost packed. (Just a few items to stow in the morning.) Tonight we will go out to eat. We will be celebrating some birthdays.
It seems like we just got here and it is time to go. And it is time to go. As much as we have enjoyed being here, and as much as we have felt more than welcomed here, it is time to let the kids have their space back. After all, they were only here for a week when we arrived. They had done quite a bit. Now they need to sit back, relax and decide which chores need to be done next without the influence of well-intentioned parents. Besides, they have to get ready for Kevin's mother, step-father and sister to arrive.
This weekend, time permitting, I will post a list of the things we have accomplished. It was a lot. We even worked in the garden this afternoon. But enough of that. It is time to put this machine away and get ready for the evening's festivities.

Have a safe flight home and we'll see ya back in Kansas!
Again, I wish I would have worn elastic waist pants last night! :)
It has been wonderful, but you are right. We are ready to have our space back. We appreciate everything you and Mom did for us and can't thank you enough. It just has been a blessing to have you here, celebrating our new space.
But now, GET OUT! :) Love you Dad!!!
