#230 A Labor Day Greeting

Hale has some great ideas about Labor Day. Here it is, mid-afternoon, Labor Day and I am just now getting around to posting something about it. Believe it or not, I have been doing some work. Although reviewing class materials to insure they are up-to-date is not all the physically taxing.

I did have an opportunity to do a neighborly thing by responding to a neighbors call to check to see if she left her purse at the house on the trunk of the car she was driving. Fortunately, I found it hanging on a cabinet knob in her kitchen. She thought it might be on a counter. When I didn't see it at first I was a little concerned, but then I turned around and saw this small, blue shoulder bag hanging on the cabinet. I checked to see if it was a purse. There was a wallet in it. I told her that I had not checked it for money or credit cards. She indicated that I missed a chance for a reward. Mary, her barking dachshund did send her regards to Mama.

It was nice to take a short, brisk walk across the corner. Now I can get back to cooling off and listening to some great jazz tracks on iTunes while I do my review.

I hope you all are having a pleasant day, whether you are laboring or relaxing. If you are interested in becoming a millionaire you might want to check out this site. We watched a rerun of a program that had four folks who have achieved that lofty goal. The program was titled "Your Guide to Wealth". If you get a chance to watch it, please do so. It is fantastic. I discovered that I had come to some of the same conclusions. I just haven't taken them as far as these folks. I think one of the most interesting comments came from Robert Kiyosaki when he mentioned the new golden rule. "He who has the gold makes the rules." This may turn some folks off, but don't stay turned off for too long. You just might miss out on something that will turn your life around.

One of the most important recommendations/observations by Keith (?) was the idea that life is all about relationships. That is something I have been stressing in my real estate classes for years. This panel member realized when he was a caddy, that rich people behaved differently. They seemed to truly care about each other and would go out of their way to help a friend.

So maybe it is time to go back to my book; "Things I've Stumbled Across Along the Way" and see how I can do even more to become more successful and rich. I wish you riches beyond your wildest dreams. Be enthusiastic, and always remember to....

Serve others, care about those you serve, and share the love in your heart.

Rich people "really care about each other and go out of their way for a friend".
Maybe because they know they will get something off them in return one day.
They sure don't care about the poor or go out of their way for a stranger!
(The rich always get rich by taking from the poor. The other rich are too smart/mean/self serving to be taken...)

Yucky!
