#163 As Seen Through The Windshield #12

Thursday we were in Monterey and Carmel, CA. We had a lunch meeting with a former financial advisor. We hadn't seen Jerry Ledzinski in about 30 years. None of us have changed much. It was great to see him and his wife again.

Prior to our meeting we took time to sight see and shop in the town of Carmel.

The sight you see as you enter Carmel by the Sea on Ocean Avenue.

The entry to Carmel Plaza

Looking down to the lower level of Carmel Plaza

The Coffee shop at Carmel Plaza.
They have great hot chocolate.

Looking South of the lower level from the Coffee shop.

Vineyards in Central California.

This part of Central California is very dry.
There would be no vineyards without irrigation.

Unique rock formations on the road between vineyards and almond orchards.

Just a few of the working gas wells in the same area.

Getting closer to LA on I-5 South

We forgot to ask our son-in-law if this town was named for him and his family.

Lake Pyramid. Yes, the water level is lowering.

Nearing LA county. That is smog you see on the horizon.
