#144 More on the visit by our friends from France
Last week I was scarce here in blogger land. Our dear friends were visiting from the village of Marsannay le Blois. It is a small village North of Dijon. We have been exchanging visits for the past 10-12 years. They had not been here in quite a while so we were blessed to have the opportunity to show them some different parts of Kansas. We spent a night and the equivalent of a day in Lindsborg, KS. (I reported on this earlier.)
We even stopped by the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve near Cottonwood Falls, KS. The rides on to the prairie were not open yet. We missed them by two days and wouldn't be able to come back for them. Maybe next time.
Whenever we do get together there is the gift exchange. Christmas anytime of year is a very festive occasion. I certainly love my wine glasses.
The evening prior to their departure we hosted a Bar-B-Q dinner with some of our friends. We knew that they would all get along beautifully, and they did. Who knows we may have a larger contingent going to France next year. Now if I can only get my work schedule worked out to allow for it in late June early July, we will be on our way.
I hope you enjoy the photos. A special thanks to Peter for reminding me about the slide show. It has been quite a few months since I had tried it and I had forgotten about it.
