#99 More about Margaret

Maryann called twice yesterday. Both time after she had visited her mother. The first call wasn't too positive. Margaret was barely responsive and very tired. The nurse indicated that Margaret's heart beat has been and still was irregular. They are giving her medication to regulate it. Apparently the meds are working, because at the evening visit Margaret was a bit more aware of what was going on around her. She is past the stage where she recognizes anyone. Her periods of lucidity as we used to know it are quite rare.

Maryann said that when she first saw her mother she was quite taken aback. There is something about a person who does not have on the glasses she has to wear, and with her teeth in the glass, well, you get the picture.

It appears that Margaret still has some lessons to learn and teach, so her mission in this life is not completed. It is amazing to contemplate how a person who is incapacitated like Margaret can still be a powerful teacher, and she may not realize it. However, somewhere in her sub-conscious she is quite cognizant of her situation. So, while we don't want her to suffer in any way, she will transition when the time is right for her.

I am not making any plans to fly back to PA yet. There are other lessons I am learning and teaching here in KS.

As more news comes I will share it. Please continue to thank others for every little thing they do that brings you solace/peace of mind/pleasure. This is just another way to......
serve others, care about those you serve and share the love in your heart.

Margaret is a wonderful example of this way of looking at the world.
