#58 Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!!

Here it is, another new year's eve. We will celebrate as we usually do, at home and to bed early.

This year has been a year of ups and downs, but mostly ups. We redid the patio, traveled to Pennsylvania to visit Margaret, were visited by our daughter and her boy friend prior to them being engaged, I traveled to El Paso to visit my mother and brother and then to
Phoenix for a going away party for my grandsons who had enlisted in the military, helped Maryann recuperate from a biopsy on her right lung, hosted some friends with whom we went to the Retired Military Police Officers annual reunion in Branson, MO, took a weekend trip to Missouri's wine country with friends/neighbors, celebrated the marriage of our daughter, traveled to LA to her wedding reception, celebrated Thanksgiving in Hawaii, traveled to Pennsylvania again to look in on Margaret, and, finally, we are resting up for the new year.

btw, we also finally decided to purchase a new 37" LCD HDTV. Maryann did lots of research. She finally found the place to get the best deal for a Sharp Aqueous TV. It should be delivered in a week or so.

We will not be making any new year's resolutions other than to serve others, care about those we serve and share the love in our hearts. We hope you all will consider doing the same plan. Or not.

btw, I do plan to celebrate the change to the new year with a Black Russian. The bubbles in sparkling wines tend to make me sneeze.

Peter, I hope so too, and the same to you.

nice choice on the 37" lens. one of my favs too.

our 46" HDTV is 4 years sold, and while it's HD ready (no encoder needed) it's still not compatible with "today's standards" so it's a moot point. this has sent me spiraling into the doubtful gadget world of "should i upgrade?" and left me feeling "MEH"

more important things for now, methinks. Do SHARE how well you like yers when it arrives.

oh, and i brought in the new year surrounded by kamikazees... so, good on you for the company of black russians.

eep!

cheers,
B
